These accounts have helped me carry through with what I knew was the right thing…I see them more as cheerleaders than a replacement for the therapy and the work. When it comes down to the tough times, and you know what you should do, but you want to fall back into old patterns, that’s when these accounts are the most helpful to me. It’s a reminder that there is another, better path. Definitely, when I’m feeling down, being able to scroll through these accounts and repeat affirmations is helpful, and then I can self-soothe instead of texting friends, and decide to journal/write instead of drinking, instead of falling into despair, etc. You are doing good work!
