The video caption mentions Reddit so if you go see how passport bros talk about women on there it’s like a meat market. No, they don’t want to have their mom date those guys. But they can’t say that bc then they have to admit the movement is not just about finding a partner, but about misogyny and sex tourism. It’s like saying “I have no problem with feminism; but I just wanna go somewhere where a woman has far fewer options and I look like a prize.” You peel back that layer, and it’s just sexism with another coat on. And abuse of privilege/denial of privilege. A lot of these comments and videos show these guys are going to try to flex, but they don’t consider how the people in that country will perceive them. They’re focused on what they want and convincing themselves they’re the good guy.
Thank you for actually answering the question in a way that was respectful even though you didn’t agree. It’s refreshing and probably one of the only ones I’ve seen. Most others are just vicious personal attacks but again, that alone is evidence of the sexism of the movement.
