Thanks for your response!

Turning off the autoplay might help a lot, I will see. But for me, it’s another example of just plugging a hole instead of an actual positive solution for me. It doesn’t add anything to my experience or needs…just prevents a negative.

I like adult content (usually in the form of comedy) so I don’t want to be limited to kids programming. I just don’t want horror/murdery subjects coming up.

So for me, a positive feature would be being able to choose which topics or even which shows are allowed to autoplay. I would pick standup, irreverent cartoons. I want to control what does show up, not what doesnt, and I don’t want to be limited to literal kids shows. I’m still an adult with adult interests.

Sure, I could just put on parental controls and watch kids programming forever. But that’s not what I want, at all. That’s a bigger negative than just not using the service at all. I’d rather watch nothing than be limited to literal children’s programming.

Netflix lets me do the opposite — create a blacklist of sorts. Again, that would happen after I’m already triggered by something. So then I have to be triggered by a show, go in and find it and add it to the list? That’s an even bigger negative experience.

Basically, the way this works right now is an overall negative experience, which causes me to refrain from using it on my off days, and on my good days I tolerate it to be entertained, but it’s hardly ever an actual positive experience. What I’m saying is I wish more sites did try to offer what I would consider positive experiences, even though I know I’m an edge case, because I also I’m not the only one with anxiety and mental health issues.
