I’m sorry you find cleaning to be mundane. So do I, actually! I would love to not do it and spend more time learning, exploring hobbies, etc. But unfortunately if I do not do it, someone does not come do it for me. Thank you for providing this example; women also have things they would rather do, and many find cleaning to be mundane and would also prefer to explore other pursuits, but when men don’t clean it leaves women to pick up after them or learn to live in filth. Thank you for this explanation that actually highlighted patriarchy in action. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
