I’m saying this because I was a child of this situation and when I see people bullying people for being honest about their regrets, it genuinely upsets me. The truth is better than a lie. That’s why I wrote this. I’m not a parent. I’m a child who finally found healing through honesty, who was lied to “for my sake.” It wasn’t for my sake. I felt better when I knew the whole truth. The truth is sometimes ugly. I am beautiful.
