I know I have indigenous ancestry (Costa Rican and Peruvian) but I don't know anything else, really, except my Peruvian grandpa always says we are Incan but he doesn't speak the language or carry on any Incan traditions. I dont even know where I would begin.

in the usa there is a tendency to lump all "minority" groups together, usually to try to tell them who to vote for, then do nothing to help them, just ignore their individuality for their gain.
