I always thought he was taking drugs to not sleep so he could "work" and there's a Grimes song where she says "I'm not gonna sleep anymore, that's what the drugs are for" and I just figured he fried his brain trying to always stay in "genius" flow or as I call it, "turbo." It's like that deceptive place where you think you're a genius but you're frying your mind
