It’s finally here!

I was reminded of the legend of La Segua at a family event. A statue of a woman with a curvy body and a horse’s head stood in the garden outside the venue. One of my cousins, who is also American, did not know who she was.

La Segua is a legendary cursed woman who waits for men who are out too late, who cheat on their wives. She punishes men for their machismo, for flirting with her on the side of the road.

I decided to tell women about La Segua and see their reactions.

Every woman I encountered loved the idea. La Segua makes sure men come home and don’t spend their money on alcohol or other women. Women from other cultures even said they wished they had a story like that to tell their husbands.

Unfortunately, the appeal of La Segua is universal. She stands outside at night, but she cannot be harmed. Men try to tempt or attack her, but she’s actually out to get them. Women are taught to fear the night, but La Segua flips the script.

In many ways, this book calls back to my roots. Philosophy, my religious upbringing, my Costa Rican heritage. It also incorporates many discussions I’ve had with relatives, friends, and that I’ve seen online.

Description: La Segua is a cursed Costa Rican woman who kills cheating husbands. In this retelling of the myth, La Segua has a series of conversations with people from all walks of life before she visits her next victim, a nameless President.

You’ll enjoy this book if:

  • You think the alleged leaked Jonah Hill texts are BS
  • You’ve wanted to walk fearlessly at night
  • You don’t believe men naturally cheat and women are naturally monogamous
  • You or (someone you know) have spent way too much time with a cheater
  • You want stories where women succeed and overcome

If you said FUCK YEAH to any of the above, check out “Honest Men Only” on Ko-Fi as a pay-what-you-want download.

If you prefer Kindle, I got you.
