Confusing signs I’ve seen while traveling.

And the tangent my brain went on.

As a writer and an editor, my brain tends to overthink. This is especially true when I see signs or advertisements that injure my logic brain. Let us begin.

Seen in Uvita, Costa Rica.

This restaurant sign is reminiscent of a popular website (so I’ve heard), but what’s the takeaway here?

How many jokes can be made? Can I get extra sauce? How much more if I want it stuffed with extra meat? Can I eat tacos if I’m not into burritos?

Or, like the original “hub,” is it all about the burrito, and not about the taco?

Another Costa Rican sign, this one in Jaco.

This one causes me physical pain. How can something be world famous in one country? The whole idea of something being world famous is that it’s famous…all over the world.

Help me, right? Can someone else verify that this makes no sense? Who is the copy editor here?
