You have this boring…normal? friend who you always go to for advice. However, you know you’ve been overdoing it. Heck, you were probably overdoing it before Covid-19.

You know who you are. You’re like, sort of fine, sort of always in a crisis. Don’t worry. I got you.

If you want to give your boring friend a break, but you also have that itch to do something a little…unwise…just read these tidbits of advice!

  1. “Would you feel comfortable defending this decision in open court?”

How would you feel about defending this decision publicly? Or, if you don’t like the example of the law, how would you feel about defending this decision to your ancestors/descendants?

If the idea makes you feel like you’ve eaten something greasy, then maybe think twice.

2. “Maybe alcohol and drugs aren’t the solution?”

Your boring friend is always advocating for things like “sobriety” and “facing your problems” and “not accruing more debt.” I know! They’re so annoying. But here it is, the stand-in for your boring friend. So here it goes:

Maybe take a walk or a nap instead of getting drunk and texting your ex? Maybe just wait a few days…
